A woman from Denver, Colorado, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl-laced substances that resulted in two deaths. Alysha Michelle Dittmar, aged 28, was sentenced following her guilty plea on September 11, 2024, to one count of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death.

The case dates back to July 1, 2023, when Dittmar communicated via text with an individual identified as A.G. about selling what she claimed was heroin. The substance distributed by Dittmar contained a mixture of heroin and fentanyl. Tragically, A.G. and another individual named T.G. used the mixture and were found dead in their home by their children.

In response to the incident, law enforcement conducted a controlled purchase from Dittmar two days after the overdose deaths. The substance obtained during this operation also contained heroin, fentanyl, and xylazine.
