Park Hill resident sentenced to over two years for drug crime

Jack Dewayne Neugin, also known as Jackie Dewayne Neugin, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service. On January 27, 2024, while being processed at the Cherokee County Jail, law enforcement found Neugin in possession of 27.35 grams of methamphetamine. Investigators stated that a portion of this was intended for distribution.

Neugin pleaded guilty on September 5, 2024. The case was overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Neugin will be held by the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a federal prison facility to serve his sentence without parole.
