Houma resident pleads guilty to federal methamphetamine distribution charge

A Houma, Louisiana man has pled guilty to a federal drug charge, as announced by Acting United States Attorney Michael M. Simpson. Curtis Williamson Jr., 41, admitted guilt on February 13, 2025, before Chief U.S. District Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. This charge violates Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A). Sentencing is set for May 22, 2025.

The indictment states that authorities executed a search warrant at Williamson Jr.'s residence after receiving a complaint about narcotics trafficking. The search revealed multiple kilograms of methamphetamine in large bags located in his bedroom closet.

Acting United States Attorney Michael M. Simpson commended the efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office in this case. Assistant United States Attorney Stuart Theriot from the Narcotics Unit is handling the prosecution.
