A Pittsburgh resident has admitted guilt in a federal court to charges related to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking through force, threats, fraud, or coercion. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

Philip Walker, aged 39, entered a guilty plea for one count before United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon. The court was informed that between November 2019 and April 2022, Walker engaged in activities across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Florida, and Texas. He conspired to recruit and entice adult females into commercial sex acts while being aware that forceful means would be employed.

Judge Bissoon has set the sentencing date for May 29, 2025. The potential penalties include a life sentence and a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence will depend on the severity of the crime and Walker's prior criminal record.

Assistant United States Attorney DeMarr W. Moulton is leading the prosecution for this case. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with support from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Narcotics Division.

This case is part of Operation T.E.N. (Trafficking Ends Now), which is an initiative involving law enforcement and community partners across 25 counties in Western Pennsylvania. This effort focuses on combating human trafficking through education and enhanced cooperation among agencies and service providers.
