A Biddeford man, Tyrone Fleurimont, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker in Portland's U.S. District Court and includes five years of supervised release following the prison term.

The charges stem from an incident in April 2024 when DEA investigators executed a search warrant at an apartment used by Fleurimont. During the search, agents seized approximately 180 grams of methamphetamine pills, 90 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 293 grams of cocaine, and 66 grams of cocaine base. They also found cash, a 9mm handgun, and a loaded magazine containing 18 rounds. Additionally, individually wrapped baggies with about 14 grams of cocaine were recovered from Fleurimont’s person.

Fleurimont has a history of criminal convictions in Massachusetts and Maine. His record includes a conviction in 2013 for possessing a Class A drug with intent to distribute, a conviction in 2016 for possessing a firearm without a permit, and another conviction in 2019 for unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

The case was investigated by the DEA with support from the Biddeford Police Department.
