The issuance of this guidance is a response to employer concerns stemming from a Trump Administration Executive Order that allegedly targets "illegal DEI and DEIA policies." The coalition's guidance reassures companies that initiatives promoting diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplaces are not illegal. Furthermore, it emphasizes that the federal government cannot use an Executive Order to ban these efforts within the private sector.
