Kishaun Andre Jones, a 25-year-old resident of Beckley, has pleaded guilty to charges of escape after leaving a federal reentry facility without permission. The incident occurred on August 2, 2024, when Jones departed from Dismas Charities Inc., a Bureau of Prisons residential reentry facility located in St. Albans.
Jones had been confined at the facility following his conviction for distributing methamphetamine. This conviction was handed down by the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on February 23, 2023.
The sentencing for Jones is set for June 9, 2025. He faces a potential maximum sentence of five years in prison.
United States Attorney Will Thompson announced the guilty plea and acknowledged the efforts of the United States Marshals Service in investigating the case.
