Marlon Dewayne Martin, a 44-year-old resident of Oklahoma City, has entered a guilty plea to charges of sex trafficking involving a child. This announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

The case against Martin began on September 17, 2024, when a federal Grand Jury issued a four-count indictment. The charges included sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of a child, along with distribution and possession of child pornography. According to the indictment, between September 15, 2023, and February 26, 2024, Martin engaged in recruiting and facilitating commercial sex acts involving a minor while also producing and distributing child sexual abuse material.

In court today, Martin admitted guilt to Count 1 of the indictment. He confessed to arranging commercial sex encounters for the minor and providing hotel accommodations for these activities. As he awaits sentencing, Martin faces penalties ranging from a minimum of ten years to life imprisonment and could be fined up to $250,000.

The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations in collaboration with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bow Bottomly is responsible for prosecuting this case.

Further details can be found in public filings related to this case.
