Judicial applicants named for Douglas County court judge vacancy

Makayla S. Danner, Joseph L. Howard, Michael W. Jensen, Tamara T. Mosby, Yvonnda A. Summers, David M. Wear, all from Omaha, and Philip K. Kleine from Elkhorn have applied for the position of County Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District of Nebraska's Douglas County. This vacancy follows the retirement of Judge Jeffrey L. Marcuzzo.

The Judicial Nominating Commission will conduct a public hearing at the Douglas County Courthouse in Omaha on February 21, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. CST to interview all candidates.

Members of the public are invited to present testimony regarding any candidate for this judicial position during the hearing or submit written information before the commission selects qualified candidates to fill the vacancy.
