Brandon Romand Parks, known as "Baywatch," has been sentenced to 36 months in prison following a conviction for racketeering conspiracy. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Judge Philip P. Simon after an 18-day jury trial, as announced by Acting United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.
Parks, aged 46 and from Chicago, Illinois, will also serve one year of supervised release after his prison term. The charges stem from his involvement with the Sin City Deciples, an outlaw motorcycle organization that originated in Gary, Indiana in 1967. Members of this group were found to engage in violent acts, extortion, and narcotics distribution within the Northern District of Indiana and beyond.
During the period between 2016 and 2018, Parks held the position of National President of the club and was implicated in the racketeering activities during this time. As National President, he was second only to the founder of the organization.
The investigation involved numerous law enforcement agencies including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; East Chicago Police Department; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Gary Police Department; Griffith Police Department; Hammond Police Department; Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation Division; Lake County Sheriff’s Department; Indiana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area officers and agents; Merrillville Police Department; Munster Police Department; and Schererville Police Department. Additional support came from various U.S. Attorney’s Offices across multiple districts.
Assistant United States Attorneys David J. Nozick and Michael J. Toth prosecuted the case as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation aimed at dismantling high-level criminal networks through a collaborative approach involving federal, state, and local agencies.
The case also aligned with Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program designed to reduce violent crime through cooperation between law enforcement agencies and community organizations.
