A federal Grand Jury has charged Jackie Antonio Duncan, 35, and Nia Hall, 30, both from Lawton, Oklahoma, with serious offenses related to child sex trafficking. The charges include sex trafficking of children, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. This was announced by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
The case stems from an incident in May 2024 when two juveniles ran away from a group home in Lawton and were reported missing. One juvenile was found on July 16, 2024, by Plano Police Department officers at a motel in Collin County, Texas. She revealed that both she and the other runaway had been victims of sex trafficking.
According to the juvenile's account, after fleeing the group home they encountered Hall and Duncan at a gas station. The pair allegedly transported them across various cities in Texas where they performed sex acts for money which Hall and Duncan kept while providing food and shelter to the juveniles.
The second juvenile was located on September 30, 2024, in San Antonio with similar allegations against Hall and Duncan involving exchange for food and shelter. Investigators also reviewed advertisements linked to Hall containing photos of the juveniles.
Hall and Duncan were arrested on December 16, 2024. On January 21, 2025, they were indicted on three counts including sex trafficking of children; sex trafficking by force; fraud or coercion; and conspiracy to commit these crimes. If convicted, each faces potential life imprisonment and fines up to $250,000 per count.
Authorities remind that these charges are only allegations at this stage with both defendants presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
