Jeffrey Alan Bradley, a 51-year-old resident of Marion, Iowa, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison following his guilty plea to one count of receipt of child pornography on August 8, 2024.

The court found that Bradley had acquired at least 7,086 images and 1,048 videos depicting child sexual abuse. These materials included disturbing content involving prepubescent minors and infants engaged in inappropriate acts. Authorities revealed that Bradley utilized advanced software to download the material and organized it into folders on his computer.

During his arrest, Bradley resisted by attempting to reach for a loaded firearm stored in his pants and did not comply with law enforcement commands.

The sentence was delivered by United States District Court Chief Judge C.J. Williams in Cedar Rapids. Alongside the 120-month imprisonment term, Bradley was ordered to pay $39,000 in restitution to the victims involved. After serving his prison term, he will undergo five years of supervised release. It is important to note that there is no parole available within the federal system.

This case forms part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at addressing child sexual exploitation and abuse across the nation. This project leverages resources from various levels of government to identify and prosecute offenders while rescuing victims.
