KC Vanover, a 48-year-old resident of Moundsville, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 63 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy. The case was heard in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Court documents reveal that Vanover collaborated with others to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine in Marshall County and other areas. The drugs were sourced from Georgia. Vanover has previous convictions for grand larceny and battery.
Following his prison term, Vanover will be under supervised release for three years.
The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid. The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration branches in Wheeling, Clarksburg, Cleveland, and Detroit; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the West Virginia State Police; the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force; and several local police departments and sheriff's offices.
The case was presided over by U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey.
