Martin Thomas Anderson, a 36-year-old resident of Sistersville, West Virginia, has been sentenced to over 12 years in prison for his involvement in methamphetamine trafficking. The sentencing took place in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Court records indicate that Anderson, who is also known by the alias "Martin McNeil," was actively distributing methamphetamine across Marshall and Wetzel Counties. During two separate traffic stops, law enforcement officers recovered more than 50 grams of methamphetamine from Anderson. Additionally, they found a stolen firearm, cash, and drug paraphernalia in his possession. Anderson's criminal history includes prior convictions related to drugs, firearms offenses, and escape attempts.

Following the completion of his prison term, Anderson will be subjected to three years of supervised release.

The prosecution of this case was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid on behalf of the government. The investigation involved collaboration between the Marshall County Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force—a project funded by HIDTA—and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The proceedings were overseen by U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey.
