Orlando Rodriguez-Roman, a 42-year-old resident of Goshen, Indiana, was found guilty on three felony charges following a three-day jury trial. The verdict was delivered under the supervision of United States District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty. This announcement came from Acting United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.
Rodriguez-Roman faced convictions for attempted possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, and unlawful possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
The sentencing for Rodriguez-Roman is set for April 29, 2025.
The investigation into this case involved multiple agencies including the United States Postal Inspection Service and its Forensic Laboratory Services, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Additional support came from the Elkhart County Intelligence and Covert Enforcement Unit as well as the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecution team comprised Assistant United States Attorneys Lydia T. Lucius and Katelan McKenzie Doyle.
