Edmund Omar Johnson, also known as "Chicago" and "Polo," has pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine. The 44-year-old from Chicago admitted to selling approximately 865 grams of the drug to a confidential informant in Huntington on June 30, 2024.
Johnson acknowledged arranging the transaction with the informant beforehand. He is scheduled for sentencing on May 5, 2025, where he could face up to 20 years in prison, a minimum of three years of supervised release, and a fine reaching $1 million.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Will Thompson, who praised the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff's Office for their investigative efforts.
United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers oversaw the hearing, while Assistant United States Attorney Joseph F. Adams is handling the prosecution.
