U.S. Attorney Todd Gee announces resignation from Southern District of Mississippi

Todd Gee, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi, has announced his resignation effective January 17, 2025.

In a statement, Gee expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in his home state and acknowledged the talented professionals within the office. "The opportunity to serve as a United States Attorney in my home state of Mississippi has been the highest honor of my over 17 years of public service in the United States Department of Justice," he said. He also thanked President Biden for nominating him and Attorney General Garland for their support during his tenure.

Gee was appointed as U.S. Attorney on October 3, 2023. His career with the U.S. Department of Justice began in 2007, including roles such as Deputy Chief of the Public Integrity Section and Assistant United States Attorney in Washington D.C.
