A man and a woman from Wichita have been formally charged in connection with a series of bank robberies in Kansas. The charges, filed through a criminal complaint, accuse the pair of using a firearm during these incidents.
Court documents identify Zane Tilcock, 20, as facing three counts of bank robbery. Emily Wise, 18, is charged with one count of bank robbery. Tilcock is alleged to have used a firearm in robberies at three banks during December 2024: Intrust Bank on South Webb Road in Wichita on December 11, Emprise Bank on East Harry Street in Wichita on December 16, and Sunflower Bank on North Jefferson Street in Junction City on December 27. Wise is accused of robbing Emprise Bank alongside Tilcock on December 16.
The investigation involves multiple law enforcement agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wichita Police Department, Junction City Police Department, and the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kari Burks is leading the prosecution for this case. It is important to note that an indictment represents only an allegation; both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
