Eight apply for county court judge position in Douglas County

Makayla S. Danner, Eric M. Fabian, Michael W. Jensen, Tamara T. Mosby, Patrick R. Runge, Yvonnda A. Summers, David M. Wear, all from Omaha, and Philip K. Kleine from Elkhorn have applied for the position of County Court Judge in Nebraska's Fourth Judicial District, which covers Douglas County. This vacancy arose following the resignation of Judge Lowe.

The Judicial Nominating Commission will conduct a public hearing on January 24, 2025, at the Douglas County Courthouse in Omaha to interview all candidates for the judicial position.

Public input regarding any candidate is welcome through written submissions or letters of recommendation to the commission before it selects qualified candidates after the hearing. Submissions can be sent to the commission chair or emailed to dawn.mussmann@nejudicial.gov and will remain confidential.
