North Dakota seeks legal assistant for statewide child support division

The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (ND HHS) is seeking a Legal Assistant for its Child Support division. The role involves supporting attorneys by gathering information, preparing legal documents, coordinating service of documents, and maintaining legal templates. Responsibilities also include handling inquiries, managing data in the child support system FACSES, and keeping track of case progress.

Candidates must have completed two years of college in pre-law or legal assistance and possess two years of experience in legal research analysis. Equivalent work experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

The position allows remote work within North Dakota during regular business hours with travel for meetings as needed. ND HHS aims to deliver services focused on dignity and respect with a team of 2,800 members supported by over $6 billion from various funding sources.
