Matthew Logan Frame, a 38-year-old resident of Buckhannon, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 165 months in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. This decision was made today in Elkins, West Virginia.
The case against Frame stemmed from an incident at a gas station in Belington, West Virginia. Officers responded to reports of shots fired and attempted to stop Frame's vehicle. A pursuit ensued, culminating in a crash and his subsequent arrest. During the arrest, officers found two bags of methamphetamine on Frame. Additional methamphetamine and cash were discovered during a search of his vehicle.
Following his prison term, Frame will be subject to five years of supervised release.
The investigation was conducted by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force—a HIDTA-funded initiative—alongside the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner represented the government in this case. The proceedings were overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh.
