U.S. Attorney Susan T. Lehr | U.S. Department of Justice

United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Jessica Binegar, also known as "Jessica Keo," was sentenced on December 12, 2024, in federal court in Lincoln, Nebraska. Binegar, aged 38 and from North Platte, Nebraska, received a sentence of 43 months for distributing five grams or more of methamphetamine. Following her prison term, she will undergo three years of supervised release. Parole is not available in the federal system.

The investigation into drug trafficking activities involving Binegar began in 2021 by the FBI and CODE Drug Task Force. In March 2022, law enforcement organized a controlled buy using a Confidential Informant (CI) through Facebook. During this operation, Binegar was seen approaching the location and was heard on recorded audio linked to the transaction. Surveillance and debriefings revealed that she supplied the meth sold during this controlled buy.

The meth acquired by the CI was handed over to law enforcement and analyzed at the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab. It was confirmed to be 12.9 grams of meth with a purity level resulting in 12 grams of actual methamphetamine.

Further investigations led to three additional controlled buys involving Binegar, all concerning methamphetamine transactions.

This case was investigated by the CODE Task Force, which comprises various law enforcement agencies across a 22-county region in west-central/southwest Nebraska. The task force includes members from the North Platte Police Department, Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Red Willow County Sheriff's Office, Frontier County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
