Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has issued a statement following the discovery of two swastikas painted outside Temple Israel, a synagogue in Minneapolis. In his statement, Ellison emphasized the right of Minnesotans to live and worship safely and with respect.

“Minnesotans of every faith deserve to live and worship with dignity, safety, and respect — no exceptions,” said Attorney General Ellison. He further stated that these values are shared by many across Minnesota. "Painting swastikas on a synagogue is an appalling act of hate that no one should tolerate," he continued, highlighting the threat this act poses to Jewish Minnesotans.

Ellison reassured the public that his office is actively monitoring the situation and will intervene if necessary to protect Minnesota's Jewish community, religious freedoms, and basic human decency.

The incident serves as a reminder of the need for solidarity in upholding shared values within the community.
