The South Dakota Commission on Indigent Legal Services is set to hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 1 p.m. CST. The commission is responsible for overseeing indigent legal services within the state's court system where there is a right to counsel under state or federal law. Additionally, it supervises the Office of Indigent Legal Services in providing statewide representation for appeals in criminal cases, habeas corpus petitions, and child abuse or neglect cases.
