Wagoner County man pleads guilty to distributing child exploitation material

A resident of Wagoner County, Sovana Xiong, 32, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to distributing child sexual exploitation material. The plea was made in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The indictment accused Xiong of distributing visual depictions on the internet involving minors in sexually explicit conduct. This activity allegedly occurred between October 15, 2023, and April 11, 2024.

The investigation was conducted by the Tulsa Police Department's Special Investigations Division. U.S. Magistrate Judge Edward C. Snow accepted Xiong's guilty plea and requested a presentence investigation report. Until sentencing is finalized, Xiong will remain under the custody of the United States Marshals Service.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dak Cohen.
