The Second Circuit DUI Court in Pierre, South Dakota, is set to hold a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. CST. The event will take place in Courtroom 3B at the Minnehaha County Courthouse in Sioux Falls. Attendees are required to enter through the front entry and undergo security screening before proceeding to the third floor via elevators.

Zack, a previous graduate of the Second Circuit DUI Court, will deliver the keynote address. His speech will focus on his personal journey and success story, underscoring the program's impact and its role in fostering resilience and growth.

For over thirty years, there has been an effort to change how the justice system deals with substance use and mental health disorders. Treatment courts aim to break addiction cycles by holding individuals accountable while providing necessary treatment and support for life changes. The DUI court employs a multi-disciplinary team approach to help participants reintegrate into society as law-abiding citizens.

The Second Circuit Drug Court was established in 2011, followed by DUI Court in 2013, Veterans Court in 2016, and Mental Health Court in 2020.
