Stephanie Wilkinson, speaking on behalf of the Wilkinson family, has expressed gratitude for the support received following the passing of Hon. Andrew Wilkinson. In a statement, she acknowledged the response from "family, friends, co-workers, local and state politicians, and Governor Moore," thanking them for their "prayers, thoughts, and love during this tragic time."

The family is deeply affected by the loss. "This is such an unexpected loss to us, and words do not exist to describe the amazing person Drew was," Stephanie Wilkinson stated.

She also extended thanks to law enforcement agencies at various levels for their assistance: "Our family would especially like to thank local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for their immediate and continued response to this tragedy. Drew would be very grateful for all of your efforts for both us and the community."

The family requests privacy as they mourn. The Maryland Judiciary’s Government Relations and Public Affairs Office will manage media communications on behalf of the Wilkinsons.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 27 at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church in Hagerstown. The service begins at 10:00 a.m., with specific guidelines in place for media coverage. Members of the media will not be allowed inside the church or permitted to conduct interviews on-site. A designated media staging area will be available outside under supervision by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

For inquiries related to these arrangements, contact can be made through Maryland Judiciary's Government Relations and Public Affairs via email.
