The District Court in Prince George’s County has started accepting electronic filings for failure to pay rent cases through Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC). This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and convenience by utilizing e-filing technology. Users can file multiple cases simultaneously with the help of certified bulk filing service providers. Information on these providers is available on the Judiciary's e-filing and landlord-tenant web page.

Chief Judge John P. Morrissey of the District Court of Maryland commented on the program's expansion, stating, “This program proved effective in Baltimore County over the last year, and we are pleased to offer this service to Prince George’s County now that they are online with MDEC.” He added, “The goal remains to advance technology-based improvements to all jurisdictions, and we look forward to launching this program statewide in 2024.”
