The Anne Arundel County Circuit Court is set to host a ceremony on Monday, May 21, celebrating the graduation of six individuals from its adult drug treatment court program. This marks the 41st graduation since the program's inception in 2005. The initiative aims to assist participants in achieving sobriety and reducing criminal behavior through a combination of services and supervision.
Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge J. Michael Wachs will preside over the event. Brian “B-RAiN” McCall, a hip-hop artist, will be present as a guest speaker. Terrence D. Walton, chief operating officer of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, is also expected to attend.
The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in Courtroom 4C at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court located at 8 Church Circle, Annapolis.
Since its establishment, approximately 250 individuals have graduated from this court-monitored treatment and recovery program.
