The Maryland Judiciary has launched a redesigned website to enhance user experience and align with current technology trends. The updated site, introduced last week, aims to improve accessibility for mobile users and facilitate better communication with the public.
A key feature of the redesign is a consolidated court forms page, described as a "one-stop" resource for accessing various court documents such as record expungement requests, peace and protective orders, and landlord-tenant issues.
The website now exceeds federal accessibility standards. Its modern design is intended to be more user-friendly and welcoming, with clearly marked sections for easy navigation. The site is optimized for viewing on smartphones and tablets.
"The Maryland Judiciary website is the portal to courts throughout the state and provides information about a wide range of topics," stated State Court Administrator Pamela Harris. "The website is the first place that many people go to for information and answers they need about courts, court processes, and legal matters. This redesign was undertaken with the public in mind and will provide visitors with a better experience. Also, the site is engineered to make it easier to keep information updated and relevant. This new design helps us improve access to justice, be responsive to changing community needs, communicate effectively, and assure the highest level of service."
