Pre-trial proceedings for the case of State of Maryland v. Edward Nero are set to commence on February 19, 2016. The motions hearing will address pending motions before jury selection begins on February 22, 2016. The Honorable Barry G. Williams will preside over the proceedings.
The motions hearing is scheduled for February 19 at 9:30 a.m. in Courthouse East, Circuit Court for Baltimore City, located at 111 N. Calvert Street, Courtroom 234, Baltimore, MD. Jury selection will follow on February 22 at the same time in the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr., Courthouse at 100 North Calvert Street, Courtroom 400.
Media representatives will have limited reserved seating during the hearings and trial on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who registered for the Porter trial do not need to register again for this case. Overflow seating with live audio/video feed will be available as space permits.
The use of electronic devices inside courtrooms and overflow rooms is prohibited. Photography and videography are not allowed within courthouses or media rooms; however, designated media rooms where electronic devices can be used will be provided.
Parking restrictions around both courthouses will be enforced strictly, with a staging area for media trucks at City Hall Plaza. Media representatives must adhere to security protocols and cannot block public areas.
