Pre-trial proceedings in the case of State of Maryland v. Caesar Goodson are set to commence on January 6, 2016. The initial phase will involve hearings on pending motions, which may be resolved before jury selection begins.

The Honorable Barry G. Williams will preside over the case at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. The motions hearing is scheduled for January 6, 2016, at Courthouse East, located at 111 N. Calvert Street in Baltimore. Jury selection is slated to start on January 11, 2016, at the Clarence M. Mitchell Jr. Courthouse.

A limited number of seats will be available for media representatives during the proceedings. Media personnel who registered for a previous related trial do not need to re-register for this one and should arrive by 8 a.m. to secure seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Overflow seating will be arranged as needed with a live audio/video feed provided in these areas. The use of electronic devices inside courtrooms and overflow rooms is prohibited, and all interviews must occur outside courthouse premises.

Media accommodations include designated rooms where electronic devices can be used; however, photography and videography are banned within these areas as well as inside courthouses.

Wi-Fi access is unavailable at both courthouse locations; therefore, media representatives are advised to bring their own Wi-Fi devices. Parking restrictions around courthouses will be enforced strictly, with a staging area designated for media trucks at City Hall Plaza.

All media personnel are encouraged to review specific security and protocol orders regarding jury selection and trial procedures, along with policies governing electronic devices within court facilities.

Court filings post-dating September 14, 2015, are accessible via the Baltimore City Circuit Court High Profile Cases webpage.
