In recognition of Constitution Day on September 17, the Maryland Judiciary has refreshed its interactive webpage to facilitate learning about the United States Constitution and Maryland's Constitution. This online resource is accessible via the Judiciary’s main website, www.mdcourts.gov, and features links to educational sites and online games.

Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera emphasized the importance of this initiative: “The Constitution of the United States is the framework for our country and our way of government,” she stated. “I invite students, teachers, and all our citizens to explore these online resources to learn more about our federal and state Constitutions.”

Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Schools receiving federal funding are legally obligated to observe this day.

The Maryland Judiciary’s dedicated webpage for Constitution Day can be directly accessed at www.mdcourts.gov/education/constitutionday.html.
