Attorney General Kris Mayes has announced that the Maricopa County Superior Court has appointed Peter S. Davis of J.S. Held, LLC as the Receiver for Heritage Village, an assisted living facility located in Mesa. Mr. Davis will operate under the court's direction to safeguard residents, ensure compliance with state regulations, and manage the facility's financial matters.

"Appointing a receiver is just the first step in protecting the residents of Heritage Village," stated Attorney General Mayes. "The receiver will need to ensure ongoing care for residents and ultimately find new owners qualified to run the facility properly. The residents of this facility and their families deserve much better care and support than they have received in the past, and this is a significant step in ensuring they do."

Mr. Davis will immediately assume control of Heritage Village, while the State continues its legal proceedings to hold all defendants accountable. Attorney General Mayes emphasized her intention not to allow current owners to resume operations at the facility.

A copy of the receivership order is available for public access.
