North Dakota Attorney General seeks attorney for consumer protection division

The North Dakota Attorney General's Office is seeking a full-time attorney for the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Division. The position, which offers a salary range of $81,000 to $120,000 annually depending on experience, requires legal, investigation, and litigation services related to consumer protection and antitrust laws. Elin S. Alm, Director of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Division, will oversee the selection process. The role involves representing the Attorney General in civil law enforcement actions in state and federal courts. This opportunity allows for engagement with cases impacting local markets as well as collaboration with other states or federal agencies on matters of national interest.

Responsibilities include handling consumer protection and antitrust cases through litigation or settlement. The job is based at the division's office in Bismarck, with no remote work option available.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in North Dakota or expect imminent admission to the bar. Preference will be given to those with at least two years of legal experience including litigation. Candidates should have high ethical standards, excellent communication skills, and advanced interpersonal abilities.
