The Codington County Treatment Court is set to host a graduation ceremony on May 24, 2024, at 10 a.m. CDT in Courtroom #222 at the Codington County Courthouse in Watertown. This event will honor a participant who has successfully completed all phases of the program.
Jarrad Aason, a graduate from the 2020 drug court and current board president of Brothers and Sisters Behind Bars, will be the featured speaker at the ceremony. The event welcomes public attendance as well as media coverage, with provisions for cameras. Additionally, those unable to attend in person can view the proceedings via a Zoom link provided by the organizers.
The treatment court aims to assist individuals dealing with substance abuse disorders through an intensive and voluntary program focused on supervision, treatment, and support. The objective is to guide participants towards achieving stability and recovery from alcohol and chemical dependencies.
