The South Dakota Commission on Access to Our Courts is set to conduct its first organizational meeting virtually on April 16, 2024. The session will take place from 10 a.m. to noon CDT and can be accessed by the public via Zoom.
The commission, established under South Dakota Supreme Court Rule 24-03, aims to enhance equal access and foster greater trust in the state's court system.
During the meeting, attendees will hear a welcome address and an overview of the commission's goals from Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven R. Jensen. The agenda also includes discussions on the current landscape in South Dakota, challenges and gaps within the system, as well as strategic planning for future steps.
