Judicial Resources Commission schedules public hearing for June

The Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. CDT in Room 1510 of the State Capitol Building in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Members of the Commission and the public can attend the proceedings either in person or via Zoom. The Zoom link for public attendance is https://nejudicial-gov.zoom.us/j/84481606129.

Those wishing to present testimony during the hearing have two options: appearing in person at Room 1510 of the State Capitol and signing in as a witness, or submitting written testimony in advance. Written testimonies must be emailed to kara.nielsen@nejudicial.gov or mailed to Judicial Resources Commission, State Capitol Building, Room 2222, P.O. Box 98910, Lincoln, NE 68509. All written testimonies must be received by June 6, 2024.

The Constitution of Nebraska distributes judicial power among several courts including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, district courts, and county courts. All state courts operate under the administrative direction of the Supreme Court. Additionally, Nebraska has separate juvenile courts in Douglas, Lancaster, and Sarpy Counties and a statewide Workers’ Compensation Court.
