ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — A man is suing in Florida after attending a party in Texas, during which he says he was tossed off of an inflatable slide and into a fence.

David Rhee filed a complaint Oct. 13 in Orange County Circuit Court against Inflatable Depot Inc., alleging negligence and other claims. He alleges Inflatable Depot's principal place of business is Orlando.

Rhee, according to his complaint, was at a birthday party at a home in Carrollton, Texas, on Oct. 16, 2021. He claims the owners rented an inflatable "obstacle course" manufactured and sold by the defendant.

Rhee alleges he slid down the slide portion of the obstacle course and bounced off the inflatable, onto the ground and into a wooden fence. He claims he suffered serious and debilitating injuries.

Rhee alleges the defendant's negligence for failing to inspect the inflatable for defects and for not properly testing the slide for strength and durability. He also alleges the defendant was negligent for failing to warn users of the potential instability of the inflatable and its failure to confine users without being ejected.

Rhee further alleges the slide was not long enough to slow down a person's speed and that the outer barriers were too low to stop or slow down the user before exiting the slide.

Rhee seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Todd Romano and John Romano of The Romano Law Group in West Palm Beach.
