Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Eileen Oakes Muskett, who was named a 2021 Professional Lawyer of the Year honoree by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.

A cooperative venture of the NJ State Bar Association, the state and federal judiciary and New Jersey's three law schools, the Commission aims to strengthen the traditional values and sense of public purpose that has made the practice of law a distinguished profession. The annual awards program is presented in connection with the state’s local bar associations to lawyers who are respected by colleagues for their character, competence and exemplary professional behavior. Muskett was nominated for the honor by the Atlantic County Bar Association.

At Fox, Muskett is the Co-Chair of the Product Liability & Mass Torts Practice Group and previously served as the Atlantic City Office Managing Partner. She has an extensive litigation practice that encompasses pharmaceutical, mass tort and product litigation as well as employment disputes. Informed by her substantial knowledge of the local legal landscape in New Jersey, she often serves as a key trial team member in major pharmaceutical litigation matters, providing essential insight on the New Jersey court system and helping to bring significant matters to successful resolution.

Muskett is also well-versed in handling labor and employment law matters. She represents clients at the administrative level as well as in the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, the EEOC and state and federal courts in cases involving wrongful discharge, unemployment appeals, breach of contract, illegal harassment as well as retaliation and discrimination claims, including appearance-based discrimination. She assists clients in a preventative capacity as well, such as performing in-house training on harassment prevention, supervisory skills, family leave and best practices in the discipline of employees. She also reviews company policies and employee handbooks and has assisted employers in reductions in force.

She earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law and B.A. from Stockton University.
