ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - An Orlando nightclub is being blamed for a fatal drunken driving accident.

The Estate of Darien Redding filed suit Feb. 15 in Orange County Circuit Court against Gilt Nightclub over a March 2, 2020, accident. The suit says Gilt continued to serve Anderson Faulk despite knowing he was a "habitual drinker."

Faulk crashed his Ford F250 into Redding's Ford Focus on West Colonial Driver around 2:30 a.m., the suit says.

"(E)mployees... of Gilt Nightclub knew, or reasonably should have known, that Anderson Faulk was habitually addicted to the use of any or all alcoholic beverages, and/or was a habitual drunkard," the suit says.

Faulk was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI manslaughter. Redding's estate is represented by T. Randall Lyons of Maloney - Lyons of Mobile, Ala.
