NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) – A Manhattan law firm has filed a federal lawsuit against its former client for $551,913.83 in unpaid legal fees and damages.

The suit by The Kogan Law Group, P.C. says it represented Robert Brace Farms, Inc. of Erie, Pa., for more than 16 months in two wetlands suits by the U.S. government.

The firm devoted nearly 2,000 hours to the case and has been “severely harmed financially as the result of the Defendants’ substantial nonfulfillment of their payment obligations,” the suit claims. Kogan Law Group describes itself as “a small law firm managed by a solo practitioner specializing in federal environmental law and policy work.”
