GREENBERG TRAURIG LLP: John L. Mascialino to Speak at City & State’s Procurement Conference

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

John L. Mascialino, chair of the New York City Government Law & Policy Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak on a panel titled, “What to Know about Doing Business in New York,” Oct. 24 at City & State’s Procurement Conference. The panel will provide an inside look at the New York procurement process.

Mascialino focuses his practice on government contracts, administrative law, government affairs, government investigations, and government-related real estate matters. He counsels private and publicly owned companies and not-for-profit organizations on state and local regulatory, legal, and policy matters with a focus on the clients' strategic objectives and provides advice on matters that will enhance their business opportunities in the City and State of New York.

Mascialino spent several years working in City government, serving as First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, the agency responsible for procurement of City equipment and supplies and in charge of many city real estate assets. Prior to that, he was Counsel/Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Operations, where he assisted in the supervision of many City operational agencies, was a mayoral appointee to the Franchise Concession Review Committee, and served as Deputy General Counsel of the Mayor's Office of City Legislative Affairs.

Mascialino is committed to the community where he lives and works. He is treasurer and chair of the finance committee of Grand Central Partnership and Grand Central District Management Association, serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustee for the Riverside Park Conservancy, and the Riverside Clay Tennis Association. He received his J.D. from New York Law School and B.A. from St. Francis College.
