Morgan Lewis issued the following announcement on Dec. 03.
Morgan Lewis partner Daniel Papermaster has been named by Connecticut Treasurer-elect Shawn Wooden to chair the 10-member Transition Advisory Committee that will advise him on personnel, operational, and policy decisions.
Mr. Papermaster previously served on transition teams for US Representative Rosa DeLauro and former US Senator Joseph Lieberman. He continues to serve on Connecticut’s Select Committee that screens candidates for high-level federal appointments, including the state’s US Attorney and judicial nominees. He also represents numerous entities involved in economic development projects in Hartford.
Mr. Papermaster, who serves as the firm’s deputy head of the finance practice, helps clients on corporate finance and restructurings, primarily representing various types of financial institutions, hedge funds, and large corporations in financing and restructuring transactions. A significant portion of his practice is concentrated on syndicated bank financings, representing hedge funds in debt and equity investments and cross-border financings, as well as representing institutional investors of privately placed debt.
