Lewis Brisbois issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce the expansion of its presence in Nevada by joining forces with former law firm GeorgesonAngaran. The new Reno/Tahoe office will be staffed by a team of four attorneys, headed by Managing Partner Jack G. Angaran, with Partner Alice K. Herbolsheimer and Associates Mary-Ann Ellis and Jeffrey D. Koelemay.

“We are very excited to welcome the GeorgesonAngaran team to Lewis Brisbois,” said Partner Steven Lewis, speaking on behalf of Lewis Brisbois’ Management Committee. “This team has been providing northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe region with top-notch legal services for many years and shares a similar client base and practice focus with our firm. It’s a natural fit. The combination of our nationwide footprint and full-service platform with this team’s local knowledge and experience will create some exciting opportunities in the near future.”

This new opening brings Lewis Brisbois’ total office count to 44, spread across 26 states. Already the largest law firm in Nevada, the addition of this new location will enable Lewis Brisbois to provide greater coverage to clients operating in northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe region, and will complement the firm’s practices in Las Vegas and northern California.

“I’m looking forward to bringing the talents and resources of our attorneys to Lewis Brisbois’ already-formidable insurance, commercial and general liability practices,” said Mr. Angaran. “This is a positive development for the firm and the Washoe County business community, which can now more easily take advantage of the full suite of legal resources Lewis Brisbois has to offer.”
