HARRISBURG, Pa. (Legal Newsline) -- Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett outlined the goals for his second term at a news conference today in Harrisburg.

Among his agenda are going after violent drug gangs, education senior citizens about senior scams, continuing the bonus investigation in Harrisburg and targeting child predators.

Corbett was elected to a second four-year term Tuesday when he received more than 2.9 million votes, defeating Democrat John Morganelli.

He said he plans to expand investigations where drug organizations have hurt small and medium-sized cities in Pennsylvania.

When it comes to the bonus investigation, Corbett claimed the agents and prosecutors in the Public Corruption Unit will continue to devote an enormous amount of time and resources to the investigation.

He also said he will expand the Operation Safe Surf program, which has been presented to more than 1,400 schools, churches and community groups. Corbett noted that 175 child predators have been arrested since he took office and created the Child Predator Unit.

Corbett said he also plans to look into expanding the Philadelphia Gun Violence Task Force program to other cities in Pennsylvania. His office formed the task force, which works with the Philadelphia Police Department and the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.
