Nasouh Albasis-Albasis, 27, from West Valley, Utah, has been sentenced to 110 months in prison followed by a life term of supervised release. This sentence was handed down after he pleaded guilty to charges related to child sexual abuse material. The case involved the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in the back of a vehicle in 2017, which was recorded and shared on social media.

Senior U.S. District Court Judge Tena Campbell imposed the sentence following Albasis-Albasis' guilty plea on January 23, 2025. Two co-defendants were also sentenced: Dodjim Leclaire, 32, received a sentence of 208 months imprisonment and Richard Djasserambaye, 29, received a sentence of 181 months imprisonment. Both were also given life terms of supervised release.

Court documents revealed that on September 9, 2017, Albasis-Albasis and his co-defendants used the victim to produce sexually explicit images. Albasis-Albasis and Leclaire assaulted the intoxicated minor while Djasserambaye recorded the incident and posted it online. Additionally, Albasis-Albasis admitted to having videos of the assaults on his phone.

The investigation was conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies including the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office and several local police departments.

The prosecution was led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah as part of Project Safe Childhood—a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006.
