Trial Court Vacancy Commission reviews applicants for Knox County judge role

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission is set to evaluate eight candidates for a criminal court judge position in the 6th Judicial District, which encompasses Knox County. The meeting will take place on June 17, 2025, in Knoxville.

The candidates vying for the position are Emily F. Abbott, J. Franklin Ammons, Heather N. Ens, Cashauna C. Lattimore, Ashley D. McDermott, Wesley D. Stone, G. Nicholas Wallace, and Mary L. Ward.

A public hearing is scheduled at the City-County Building located at 400 Main Street in Knoxville at 9:00 a.m., local time. Members of the public are welcome to attend and may voice objections regarding any candidate either orally or in writing.
