Trevion Dickson, a 43-year-old resident of Pine Bluff, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison. The sentence was announced by Jonathan D. Ross, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Dickson's conviction stems from charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The sentencing was delivered by United States District Judge Brian S. Miller. Dickson had previously pleaded guilty on February 6, 2025, following his indictment by a federal grand jury on December 5, 2023. He received concurrent sentences of 30 years for the firearm charge and five years for the drug charge.
The case originated on January 6, 2023, when officers from the White Hall Police Department responded to an incident involving an immobile vehicle. Upon their arrival, they encountered Dickson standing next to the vehicle. When questioned, he fled but was later found hiding in a shed behind a lawn mower. Officers discovered methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, and alprazolam on him. A search of his vehicle revealed two sets of digital scales, marijuana, and a Smith & Wesson 9mm firearm.
Dickson's criminal record includes five felony cocaine convictions and two prior felony firearm convictions among other offenses. His status as an armed career criminal contributed to the severity of his sentence.
In addition to his prison term, Judge Miller imposed three years of supervised release on Dickson. It is noted that there is no parole available in the federal system.
The investigation into this case was conducted by the DEA with support from the White Hall Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stacy Williams.
