Jay Clayton, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, along with Christopher G. Raia, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's New York Field Office, and Jessica S. Tisch, Commissioner of the NYPD, announced the unsealing of an indictment against three individuals linked to a Bronx-based gang known as "Feva." The accused are Nasia Carson, also known as "Nas," Elijah Santiago, also known as "Eli," and Philip Mosca, also known as "90." They face charges related to racketeering conspiracy and violent crimes, including the murder of Jesse Bynum on April 12, 2022.

Carson and Mosca were previously detained on related charges while Santiago was apprehended earlier today. All three are scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Valerie Figueredo. The case is assigned to U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero.

U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton stated: “As alleged, these three defendants brutally murdered 21-year-old Jesse Bynum and left three others seriously wounded. New York families should not have to live in fear of gang-motivated violence.” He emphasized the commitment of law enforcement partners to hold accountable those who terrorize communities with such violence.

FBI Assistant Director Christopher G. Raia remarked: "These three Feva gang members allegedly engaged in violence to retaliate against their rivals... With our law enforcement partners, the FBI remains committed to protecting our city from unnecessary gun violence and murders."

NYPD Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch added: "These three individuals allegedly carried out a cold-blooded shooting that killed a 21-year-old New Yorker... We are committed to identifying and dismantling the street gangs threatening the safety of our communities."

The indictment alleges that from at least 2022 through 2023, Carson, Santiago, and Mosca were involved with Feva in activities such as drug trafficking and acts involving murder and assault around Pelham Parkway Houses and Wallace Avenue in the Bronx.

On April 12, 2022, they allegedly fired into a crowd intending retaliation against a rival gang resulting in Bynum's death and injuries to others.

The public is encouraged to contact authorities if they have additional information about this case by reaching out to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America aimed at combating illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ni Qian, Marguerite B. Colson, and Brandon D. Harper are leading the prosecution under the Office’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit.

The charges remain allegations until proven otherwise in court proceedings.
